BODY AND INTERIOR COMFORT

MOTOR CONTROL, SWITCHABLE GLASS AND
OTHER COMFORT FUNCTIONS

  • BDD Door Drive ECU
  • DHC Door Handle ECU
  • Sunblind ECU
  • LTC-1 Light Transmission ECU
  • Intercom Control Unit

iSYS RTS is offering a range of Automotive ECUs to control various comfort functions. Typically, these devices are implemented as LIN Slaves.

These LIN nodes are based on our proven software framework which comprises the RTOS, a bootloader and diagnostic functionality among other aspects.

In addition to those ECUs which are already in series production, LIN nodes for new projects can be developed rather quickly by building on existing hardware blocks and software frameworks.

  • LIN Nodes based on our proven software framework iSiCORE
  • Hardware and Software library for typical device drivers
  • Various Applications for comfort and cargo functions

BDD DOOR DRIVE ECU

BLDC MOTOR CONTROL VIA LIN

The bidirectional Door Drive ECU allows the control of a BLDC motor through Field-Oriented Control, for automatic or assisted manual movement of a door through gravity and friction compensation.

The triggering is done via LIN or the hall effect sensor at inner door handle. The current door position and door speed are calculated with the data of a high-resolution encoder in the motor and an acceleration sensor ECU by a kinematics model integrated into the ECU.

In addition to gravity compensation, the high precision door control system allows the simulation of mechanical haptic functions such as mechanical door latches via parameterizable profiles.

Implementation of LIN Master & CAN interface is possible on request.

  • Weightless door through gravity and friction compensation
  • Automatic and assisted movement of a door
  • Integrated field vector control for precise position control
  • LIN Master & CAN interface implementation possible

DHC DOOR HANDLE ECU

AUTOMATIC DEPLOYMENT AND RETRACTION OF A DOOR HANDLE VIA LIN

The Door Handle ECU, with an integrated angle sensor, enables the control of a DC motor for automatic deployment and retraction of a door handle.

An electrical force-displacement profile is used to enable haptic feedback. Therefore, many mechanical components can be omitted. For example, the pressure point of a door handle can be emulated in software and the characteristics can be adjusted even in the field.

An integrated white LED provides functional lighting, which can be used for door handle lighting optionally.

  • Free parametric haptic feedback
  • Obstacle detection and error monitoring
  • Software update via UDS Bootloader
  • LIN-Slave control unit

SUNBLIND ECU

AUTOMATIC DEPLOYMENT AND RETRACTION OF A SUNSHADE VIA LIN

The Sunblind ECU enables the control of a DC motor for automatic retraction and deployment of a sunshade. By using a speed-controlled activation, even non-linear rail guides can be moved at a constant speed.

The movement of the sunshade is measured by evaluation of two Hall sensors. The absolute position of the sunshade is referenced to the mechanical end stop, so no limit switches are necessary. An intelligent algorithm minimizes the number of contacts to the end stops. This is achieved by storing the current position across power cycles and estimating the reliability of the current reference.

Obstacle detection and error monitoring protect the system and the users.

  • Intelligent referencing
  • Obstacle detection and error monitoring
  • Software update via UDS based Bootloader
  • LIN-Slave control unit

LTC-1 LIGHT TRANSMISSION ECU

CONTROL OF SWITCHABLE GLASS

PDLC film based switchable glasses can be controlled by LTC-1 and switched from transparent to opaque.

By using a configurable voltage curve form, an optimal charge flow is ensured.

The LTC-1 is applied in a series-production vehicle to switch a separation wall between the front seat and the rear seat from normal (transparent) to privacy (opaque) mode.

Similarly, applications for rear and side windows or glass roofs can be implemented.

  • Control of PDLC-Films
  • Optimum charge flow thanks to configurable voltage curve shape
  • 1x LIN
  • 2x button inputs

INTERCOM CONTROL UNIT

LIN BASED AUDIO FUNCTIONALITY

The Intercom Control Unit offers three microphone inputs, one power output for a speaker and one line output for connection to the multimedia console.

The system is activated by pressing a button. An LED status signal and a sound signal support the call enquiry and acceptance optically and acoustically.

The Intercom Control Unit features an echo cancellation mechanism that adapts dynamically to the acoustic environment. This prevents echoes – generated by feedback loops between microphones and speakers – and background noise.

  • Intercom controller with Echo cancellation
  • 3x microphone inputs, 1x speaker output, 1x AUX output
  • 1x LIN, 3x button inputs
  • Status signals via LED and prestored sounds
